Many people think that being spiritual means being positive, but being spiritual means being conscious and aware.
To become conscious is a much different thing than to become positive.
To become conscious and aware, we must become authentic. Authenticity includes both positive and negative.

It’s good think positive and appear positive. I like it too. Believing that “The great work” is just another injection of positive Tony Robbins type retreats, everyone is beautiful, will succeed and will instantly become amazing - is misleading.
These are just temporary patches.
The real progress comes when we become aware of our own shadows and instead of trying to ignore them, we become aware of them and avoid falling into the traps that constantly appear.
We often generate these shadows or they are brought to us by the universe as opportunities to progress.
There are no mistakes, only opportunities to become more aware and grow.
People are afraid of going into their shadows but if they aren’t aware of them they keep falling down when the illusion that they can only be positive breaks like a soap bubble pops in the air.
The only way is to see the trap coming, being fully aware of it, understanding why it’s coming if possible, then avoiding falling down. Sometimes we fall down or walk backwards and it’s okay, it’s always a good lesson to avoid it next time.
The real spiritual being is always fully aware of his or her thoughts, feelings, words and actions.
Being spiritual means being aware, not positive
I completely agree, many people on the spiritual journey tend to shield and dissociate from the negative components of themselves and their experience inevitable to show up. I often find in times where I am receiving and allowing more upgrades into my existence, I must go through a period of time which many would classify as negative. Awareness is everything, and in its acceptance we can flow with an abundance of gratitude for all there is and all we are. I loved your post and the authenticity you have shared with us, sending peace and love.
Could not agree more. Another misconception that I think people have is that because your spiritual you should be okay with people disrespecting you. Kind of like you should be a pushover. Or that if you are not a pushover that must mean that you're not that accepting of everyone and everything.
