You know NPCs right? People are becoming NPCs. Human NPCs. Mmm Ice Cream so Good, check-it out. People becoming bots as if they were one in a game on Tik Tok.
We live so much in a simulation that now some give up their lives to make money becoming dumb non playing characters.
Some make $6k an hour doing that stuff.
Mmmm ice cream so good. Mmmm ice cream so good. Mmmm ice cream so good. Mmmm ice cream so good. Mmmm ice cream so good. Mmmm ice cream so good. Mmmm ice cream so good. Mmmm ice cream so good. Mmmm ice cream so good. Mmmm ice cream so good.
I might get addicted to this.
This is not only weird it’s spreading all over Tik Tok and beyond, as a new job.
I personally think most of the world is already filled-in with NPCs. The controversial Osho says it bluntly as always “most people are dead before they reach age 30”.
Why?
Death is the opposite of life. What is life?
I am so fortunate to have an 8 months marvel of a baby with me.
Kids are the opposite of NPCs. They change all the time. They get bored very fast and need something new. They never do the same thing. They are curious. They are completely inconsistent because they are discovering the world entirely and there is so much to discover. They want one thing at one moment and another the next. With my son Falco it’s easy to remind myself of that impulse of life.
La joie de vivre we say in French.
Babies don’t question everything all the time. They experiment.
Experimenting is believing, not following what other people tell you. Babies mostly ignore what they are told with parents respecting their freedom and not yelling at them all the time “don’t do that”. They touch this flower, smell it and taste it then move on to the next. The next is a cactus and they will hurt themselves a bit touching it, that’s how they learn. They don’t understand any written language yet so they have permission to happily ignore you as a parent telling them not to touch the cactus. All we can do is make sure they do not touch the cactus too much…
So, what happened?
Why do people die unconsciously before age 30? Why do they even want to become robots (and actually do) now? How could the future of humanity be to become robots?
Conditioning.
Doing the same as what most people do without questioning it. Another one is education fully focused on materialism only as a criteria of success etc etc.
So people adopt the system and stop changing. They’re already dead.
The only truth is impermanence for the buddhists. It’s true about us all. The only way to progress is to keep changing and learning constantly by making many mistakes along the way. Create the path as you walk.
Inspired by the life and death topic I pulled a tarot card.
Learning the Jodorowsky Tarot is never finished, it’s like learning a language with an alphabet made of 78 letters instead of 26, each of them carrying so much more information than just a letter. In other words Tarot is a very complex language.
These days I like to pull one card only and “stay with it” all day. I think about it all the time for 24 hours. I sleep with it. I even become the card and speak like the card. In the previous days I was each day the devil, the force and the king.
Today I pulled the death card. Of course.
The death card is much less scary than you might think. It’s really the card of profound transformation. It’s one of the best cards. Why would that death on the card be walking otherwise? It’s going forward and removing everything and anyone unnecessary in your life.
I have never thought about death so much in my life. Not as in I want to die, but as in I died so many times already (in my dreams). More like, when will I stop dying?
The first time I died was in the Amazon forest (this is the next story I will write, for my paid subscribers) about 7 years ago.
I thought “now that I died, now I can live a different life”. I had no idea I would die so many times. I died in the dieta process. I died each time I sundanced too.
“Die before you die so when you die you don’t die” -Mt. Athos monastery inscription.
It’s Sunday, Alejandro Jodorowsky as always gave us a gift, here is the english translation
The part, in an unthinkable way, is useful to the Whole. No part is useless. When it's useless, it's gone. No fact is useless.
The call has entered silently. Each new day seems sublime to us.
The petty life becomes sacred. The perfume of divinity spreads in matter.
We calmly walk the same path where others run madly.
We can call any human being “I”. We are the body of all the others.
Have a great week!
On Life and Death, humans versus NPCs & bots.
This type of media as well as tv are making people like zombies. Completely removed from what is going on in the world. It’s better to be numb in cyberspace than to make efforts into helping improve the future for the next generation.
Hi Loic, While I get your point, something about what you are saying here gives me an uncomfortable feeling. Ultimately aren’t you separating the world into a new hierarchy, between the “NPC”s and the “truly alive/not zombie” “good guys”? I feel there may be something inherently elitist about this and, also, perhaps dangerous at a time when we are approaching a time of climate apocalypse where many people - billions, according to our friend Reza Bundy - may perish in vast numbers as food and water become scarce. I wouldn’t want this idea of “the world is made of NPCs” to end up as an excuse for this potential mass die off, particularly as the ones who have caused this catastrophe are the community of the elite and privileged, many of whom have now found their way to plant medicines, meditation, etc. Does that make them more likely to be part of the “community of the saved?,” from your perspective?
