The death card

I’m back here too, on yawa.news.

I love writing more thoughtful and prepared posts on loic.substack.com (twice a week) but readers of loic.substack.com do not want more than two emails a week.

Problem is I love writing every day, so I will write posts which I prepare more there (especially as some parts of the posts are for paid subscribers) and this is going to be more like a journal, free-writing, whatever comes out of my typing hands and mind today, a thought on something. Simple enough.

I allow myself here to write up to once a day, if you want only 2 emails a week get only the other one.

The death card

I pulled a tarot card and the “Death card” came":

Most people hate this card. As if it was bringing bad news or announcing something we should avoid.

I learned to like it because it’s “transformation”, removing stuff that you don’t need anymore, getting rid of dead weight, like the things in your storage you haven’t seen for a year or more.

Inside us it’s the same. There is what we don’t want to look at and what we push to the basement of our mind, hoping it goes away. It doesn’t.

Jodorowsky writes in The Way of Tarot (my Tarot bible)

“See Death as a work of cleansing, a revolution necessary for the renewal and the ascent that follows after it”.

This card showing up could be a cleansing of the world.

There has been a lot of cleansing in the Crypto world (Gone! Luna, FTX, Genesis and more soon) and of the tech stocks (most at 20-40% of their value 12 months ago… see even Facebook stock almost divided by 4…)

Death could also be cleansing of myself, or showing me something inside.

Funny I have read this tens of times (as I use the book when I do a tarot reading) and it never “clicked” as deep as today.

I connected it to writing my “Fear no Evil” post.

It’s the exact same process. Facing the death card is…

not trying to get rid of your shadows but living with them instead

…and “playing” with them, controlling them or using them for the good when necessary, but the “key of the sages” is to know and face them first.

When I emailed “Fear no Evil” I got a really high totally unusual unsubscribe rate… People don’t like to even talk about their shadows. They prefer to forget their shadows talking only about positive stuff or think they “changed their lives” in a few days in a “change your life” seminar… until the shadows come back.

Working on one self is hard work when it gets to the hard stuff buried inside.
